 2009 Class Represents 39 U.S. States and 15 European Countries

In the third year of the Amgen Scholars Program, more than 2,800 undergraduates across the U.S. and Europe applied for coveted spots at 10 U.S. host universities and three European host universities.

In all, 329 Amgen Scholars representing 171 colleges and universities across 39 U.S. states and 15 European countries participated in the 2009 program, which offers a rare glimpse into the day-to-day life of a research scientist.
